Ibragim Todashev, 26, an ethnic Chechen man who knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the dead Boston bombing suspect, was fatally shot Tuesday in Orlando, Fla., by an unidentified FBI agent. The agent had questioned Ibragim’s friend, Khusen Taramov, earlier in the day allowing him to leave. When he returned later, he found Ibragim had been shot dead . . .

Boston Mayor Tom Menino said Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, the bombing suspect who was captured on Friday, may never be questioned, per Reuters. The suspect remains in serious, but stable condition, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, after sustaining a throat and leg injury . . .

CHICAGO – Alderman Sandi Jackson (7th Ward), wife of former congressman Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.), has vowed not to resign unless something ‘catastrophic’ happens. She also says she’s not a candidate to fill her husband’s congressional seat and is undecided about if and when she’ll take up permanent residence in Chicago . . .

Shaker Masri, a 29-year-old Chicago man and native U.S. citizen, was sentenced to nine years and nine months, by U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman, for planning to join al-Shabaab, a Somali group, designated by the U.S. government as an al-Qaeda connected terrorist organization. Masri hoped to become a suicide bomber . . .
