Tens of thousands of children are risking their lives on a journey from Central America to the US-Mexico border. Their hope is asylum, or mercy, which would allow them to root themselves on American soil. From Oct. 1 to June 15, more than 52,000 unaccompanied youth were detained, and thousands of others have arrived with family . . .
