During a biennial General Assembly meeting in Detroit, Presbyterian Church (USA) top delegates voted Thursday to allow its ministers to perform same-sex weddings.

An amendment to change the definition of marriage to between two persons was approved Thursday by the General Assembly but must be ratified from a majority of 172 regional presbyteries. The regional groups will vote on the change over the course of a year . . .
