O.J. Simpson to remain in prison; judge denies new trial

On Tuesday, Clark County Judge Linda Marie Bell denied former NFL star O.J. Simpson’s request, that a conviction on armed robbery and kidnapping be dismissed. Simpson, 66, won’t be eligible for parole until age 70.

In July, Simpson received parole for some–but not all–of the crimes he committed. The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners agreed that Simpson had been a “model prisoner,” and the parole decision became effective on Oct. 2, but Simpson remains imprisoned for other crimes . . .
