Two African American Barneys New York customers were questioned by police after making high-end purchases. On Saturday, Rev. Al Sharpton threatened to boycott the store if it doesn’t adequately address accusations of racial profiling.
Per The Raw Story, Sharpton said, “We’ve gone from stop and frisk to shop and frisk, and we [African American New Yorkers] are not going to take it . . . are not going to live in a town where our money is considered suspect and everyone else’s money is respected.” He said the holidays are coming and picketing on the corner might be an appropriate course of action . . .
