George Zimmerman to petition Florida for legal expense reimbursement

George Zimmerman, 29, was found “not guilty” on July 17 in the shooting death of unarmed, 17-year-old teenager Trayvon Martin. According to his attorney Mark O’Mara, a petition will be filed asking the state of Florida for reimbursement of $200,000 to $300,000 in expenses.

Florida law allows those who are acquitted to file for reimbursement of fees for court reporters, expert witnesses, depositions, travel and other expenses . . .
