Gay priests: ‘Who am I to judge?,’ asks Pope Francis

On Monday, in an 80-minute press conference aboard the papal aircraft during a return trip to the Vatican from Brazil, Pope Francis answered journalists myriad questions. Concerning gay priests, he said, “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?”

Fox news reported Pope Benedict XVI, signed a document in 2005 stating men with “deep-rooted homosexual tendencies” should not be considered for the priesthood , , ,
