University pays $75K settlement to ex-student who opposed homosexuality

East Michigan University paid a $75K settlement to Julea Ward, a former student who was expelled, because she would not counsel a client on a same-sex relationship. The university issued a press release which stated, “The resolution of the lawsuit leaves the University’s policies, programs, and curricular requirements intact” . . .
