Jesse Jackson Jr., 2nd District Congressman from Illinois, is negotiating a plea deal with the U.S. Department of Justice. He won re-election on Nov. 6 despite being re-hospitalized at the Mayo Clinic for bipolar disorder and without campaigning.
Jackson’s health and legal issues have played themselves out before the public eye since June 8 when he took medical leave from Congress.
The plea would end Jackson’s 17-year career as a congressman representing Chicago’s south side and suburbs . . .
